“Dusty’s Trail: Summit Of Borneo”
Dir. by Catherine Jayasuriya
Even robots get bored in dead end jobs, until they realize they are about to be replaced by humans! A clever comedy comes out of nowhere, shot in one day with actors replaced by animated robots.
Dusty's Trail is an inspirational documentary about a young man's journey with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a fatal and debilitating muscle wasting condition that affects one in 3,500 boys worldwide. The story tells about people coming together from around the world to climb a mountain in Borneo for charity to raise awareness for Duchenne. Dusty's Trail celebrates life through ties that bind all humanity. It's about the power of creating a positive, happy, fulfilling and inspiring life when the odds seem against it. Filmed in Borneo and California, the documentary is based on interviews with doctors, researchers, parents, friends and people who have been inspired by Dusty's life, some with whom he has never met, and others who share the same path.
Narciso is a man with a personality disorder. He's talking in front of a mirror with his alter-ego about his girlfriend Sara, brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances. He's in the bathroom next to the crime scene where a police inspector is investigating about it. The dialog between Narciso and his reflection turns into a challenge between the two personalities and many confusing memories comes back from his subconscious like flashbacks. Step by step the truth comes out in a continuous emotional growth. Who is going to win the day? What will the Inspector find out during Narciso's interrogation after he comes out the bathroom?
